Warehouse Exit Coupling

Warehouse Exit Coupling

Tank outlet couplings, which are an indispensable part of all storage methods (polyethylene water tank, modular water tank, inflatable water tank, fiber water tank), are a connection element that is responsible for transferring liquids in or out in a safe and controlled manner. They are usually mounted at the bottom of the tank and used together with a valve. A tank outlet coupling selected in the right size and type of material will provide a performance that extends the life of your storage system and will also save you from unnecessary costs (buying a new tank, calling a specialized plumber again, etc.).

Warehouse Exit End Cap Selection

Compatibility with the tank material, properties of the stored liquid, required flow rate, pressure resistance, ease of installation, maintenance requirements should also be taken into consideration.

According to the type of tank; vertical, horizontal, angular, conical,

Depending on the type of warehouse; polyethylene, modular, flexible, GRP,

According to the viscosity and density of the stored substance; water, olive oil, honey, wheat,

It may vary depending on the desired discharge speed.

Types of Warehouse Spouts

The type of warehouse outlet tong is determined by considering the warehouse raw material used, the product stocked in the warehouse and the warehouse types. Warehouse outlet tongs can be chrome, brass, polyethylene and GRP.

Warehouse Exit Tong Dimensions

Tank outlet tongs are produced in different sizes. Choosing the right size is determined by the capacity and intended use of the tank.

1/2 inch (20 mm) – It is expressed as half a finger. It is generally used in 100 liter water tanks, 200 liter water tanks, 300 liter water tanks, 400 liter water tanks and 500 liter water tanks.

3/4 inch (25 mm) – It is expressed as three quarters. It is usually used in water tanks of 750 liters and 1000 liters (1 ton).

– 1 inch (32 mm) – It is expressed as a finger. It is generally used in 1500 liter water tanks, 2000 liter (2 ton) water tanks and 3000 liter (3 ton) water tanks.

1 1/4 inch (40 mm) – One is expressed as one quarter or three quarters. It can be attached to variable liters according to preference.

1 1/2 inch (50 mm) – This is expressed as one and a half fingers. It can be attached to variable liters according to preference.

2 inches (63 mm) – expressed as two fingers. Usually 5000 liters (5 tons) water tank, 10000 liters (10 tons) water tank, It is used in 15000 liter (15 tons) and 20000 liter (20 tons) water tanks.

2 1/2 inch (75 mm) – It is expressed as two and a half fingers. It is used in project manufacturing in personal / company-specific dimensions. It can be used in 25000 liter (25 ton) water tanks, 30000 liter (30 ton) water tanks, 40000 liter (40 ton) water tanks, 50000 liter (50 ton) water tanks.

3 (90 mm) – It is expressed as three fingers. It is used in project manufacturing in personal / company-specific dimensions. It can be used in 60000 liters (60 tons) water tanks, 70000 liters (70 tons) water tanks, 80000 liters (20 tons) water tanks.

4 inch (100 mm) – It is expressed as four fingers. It is used in project manufacturing in personal / company-specific dimensions. It can be used in 90000 liters (90 tons) water tanks, 100000 liters (100 tons) water tanks, 120000 liters (120 tons) water tanks.

The necessity of tank outlet tongs suitable for every liter and tonnage has been tested and experienced by our company. Opening the tank outlet more than necessary is not recommended as it will damage the tank. Since the enlargement of the tank outlet size will cause the water flow rate (water outlet speed) and pressure in that area to increase more, the tank outlet tongs enlarged without the knowledge of our company will be under the responsibility of the customer. For example; 2 inch tank outlet tongs are not installed on a 100 liter water tank. ½ tank outlet is installed.

Duplicating the Tank Exit Coupling

In standard productions, one tank outlet tong connection is attached to the tanks. Extra drilling of the tanks without the knowledge of our company will be under the responsibility of the customer and is not recommended. Instead, in cases where additional outlet is desired, it is recommended to install a T fitting. In this way, water discharge will be given in two directions with the existing outlet tong and a longer use will be provided as the tank will not be re-drilled.

Compatibility of Tank Outlet Coupling and Booster Connection

Booster pressure pumps, which transfer the stored water to the desired distance or height, are connected to the outlet rod of the tank. For this reason, the outlet of your tank is an important factor for the booster connection. Otherwise, the booster used may burn, may not work properly and correctly.

For example, if the outlet rod of your tank is 1 inch and the outlet rod of your booster is 2 inches, two ways can be applied in this case. One of them; By installing a reduction on your tank outlet coupling, it will be increased from 1 inch to 2 inches. However, since the outlet of your tank is still 1 inch in this method, this method will only allow you to make your connection. However, the output flow rate of the water from your water tank will remain the same. The second method will be to connect your tank outlet tong directly to the booster by making it 2 inches by enlarging it with a punch or cone to an expert plumber. Otherwise, your system will not work because your system cannot be connected while the connection of your booster is 2 inches and the outlet of your tank is 1 inch.

Warehouse Exit Tong Crimping Method

Our outlets on your tank are reverse and externally threaded as standard, unless otherwise specified.

When you turn the pendant of the part you see on the outside, the inside also rotates in the same direction. To prevent this, you need to fix it inside the outlet part of the tank with a hand tool such as a piece of iron or a piece of wood, such as the back of a frog wrench, which will fix the internal nail teeth inside the hole. After this fixing, turn the necklace in the right direction if you want to tighten the necklace and in the left direction if you want to loosen and open it.

When tightening the outlet, make sure that the gasket is not pinched between the outlet cavity.

After tightening the outlet of the tank, make sure that the outlet is not loosened back when installing the valve.

Using Warehouse Exit Tongs in Storage Solutions

Polyethylene Tanks

Polyethylene tanks stand out with their lightness and durability. In these tanks, the EPDM gasket used together with the outlet spout ensures tightness and allows you to use your tank for a long life.

In order to reduce the increasing storage price costs, outlet tongs made of polyethylene raw material are now generally used instead of brass tongs. Polyethylene outlet tongs are also preferred here, just like polyethylene tanks, which are preferred for their chemical resistance.

The entrance to the polyethylene tanks can be made through the cover, or it can be used with a float thanks to the entrance opened on the tank.

Modular Warehouses

In prismatic cubic water tanks, which stand out with their collage assembly and modular system, tank outlet tongs are complementary for the system to work. It facilitates fluid transfer between different modules and increases system efficiency. In modular water tanks, in addition to the tank outlet tongs, there are also water inlet tongs, overflow tongs and discharge tongs. These should be specified in the desired dimensions (up to 2 inches free of charge) before assembly. Choosing the right water outlet tongs will prevent installation problems that may occur later.

Fiber Warehouses

The outlet tongs of fiber tanks, which are generally preferred underground as rainwater tanks and septic tanks thanks to their high strength structure, support the durability of the tank. Tongs produced from materials with high chemical resistance serve to extend the life of fiber tanks. The locations and dimensions of the inlet and outlet tongs should be determined during the projecting phase of the tank. Especially in fiber water tanks to be used as underground, subsequent outlet tong changes are not recommended.

GRP Warehouses

GRP tanks are a storage method made of glass fiber reinforced polyester that allows storage of high tonnages of water. The outlet spouts of these tanks must also be resistant to high compressive strength. Generally GRP or preferably polyethylene or chrome outlet can also be installed. GRP water tanks are also equipped with water inlet tongs, overflow tongs and discharge tongs. These can be in desired sizes (up to 2 inches free of charge).

Inflatable Warehouses

With up to 100 tons of usage, drinking water and diesel storage, the outlet tongs of inflatable tanks are designed to adapt to the flexible structure. These tongs ensure a reliable water connection element during filling and emptying of the tank. Large-sized outlets are not preferred in these tanks, which stand out in terms of portability and ease of use thanks to their foldable structure.
