What is a Modeler Water Tank?
Modular warehouses are modules manufactured by shaping the plates, which are reinforced by cold drawing method, with special molds in high pressure presses at the installation site and joining them with bolts without welding at the installation site.
How to Ensure Sealing in a Modular Water Tank?
The sealing between the panels forming the modular tanks is provided by special rubber gaskets selected depending on the type of liquid in the tank. EPDM material is generally used as sealing elements.
Modular Water Tank Advantages

For What Purpose Are Modular Water Tanks Not Used?
Modular tanks should not be used in the production and storage of acidic contents, in the production and storage of basite contents, in the storage of salt water, in the storage of hot water of 60 °C and above, in the storage of well water. Because the gaskets used when joining these tanks with a modular structure cannot withstand these contents and wear out. As a result, water leaks occur. Electro galvanized and hot dip galvanized tanks also deform over time when such contents are placed, while 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel quality chrome tanks are more durable. However, as mentioned, even if the tank can withstand, it is not recommended as the gaskets cannot. If different versions of gaskets are used, they can be made with special manufacturing. Please get support from Santaş modular water tank sales team for such contents.

Kubik Prismatic Water Tank Types
There are 5 (five) types as Ready (Electro) Galvanized, Hot Dip Galvanized, Chrome (304 Quality Steel), Chrome (316 Quality Steel) and GRP (SMC). Hot Dip Galvanized; Due to the structure of standard sheets, corrosion effects are seen due to their tendency towards oxygen and rusting and decay are seen in their physical structure. The most effective way to solve this effect is Hot Dip Galvanizing. It is formed by the metallic reaction that occurs as a result of the diffusion of iron and steel products, which are made suitable for galvanizing by waiting in the hydrochloric acid pool with a concentration of approximately 18-20% and whose surface is cleaned from oils and dust, by immersing them in molten zinc pools. Even if the metal has no original surface, immersion in HCl pool is important for activation for galvanizing. Chrome; Modular water tanks manufactured using AISI304 quality stainless steel sheet. It can also be manufactured from AISI316 stainless steel sheets according to the demand from the customer. It is a type of tank suitable for drinking water regulations. The difference between them varies according to chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni) ratios. It is also the Molybdenum (Mo) element content in 316 quality. GRP are smooth modules with potable water certification (WRAS) made of chopped glass fiber and polyester resin. GRP is UV resistant, robust and long lasting. What distinguishes GRP modular water tanks from others is that they are suitable for installation in different shapes. In other words, it offers not only cubic but also L-shaped or U-shaped installation depending on the clone, for example.
Modular Water Tank Sizes and Dimensions
Level Indicator in Modular Water Tanks
In addition to mechanical options such as level gauges with transparent hose, level gauges with rail, level gauges with rope, level dials with candlestick, level monitoring and control are carried out with electronic transmitters and level switches suitable for automatic control systems. Magnetic level indicators are also determined in accordance with the L length of modular water tanks.
Modular Water Tank Pedestal Types
Before the tank base is laid, at least 60 cm space should be left around the tank for installation. Water Tank pedestal can be laid in 3 ways; 1) Concrete Pedestal; While preparing this pedestal, the width and length measurements of the tank dimensions should be poured at a minimum height of 5 cm from the ground according to the tank dimensions and in accordance with the relevant tonnage. 2) Plastic Pedestal; After preparing a flat floor, plastic pedestals are placed on the floor according to the size of the warehouse. Plastic bases are interlocking with each other and it is a modular system. A piece of plastic pedestal measures 54 x 54 cm) 3) Steel Construction; Minimum NPU 120 iron should be prepared for the base and the center should be supported from the bottom to carry the load.
How to Assemble a Modular Water Tank?
Warehouse designs are selected depending on the size and dimensions of the area where the modular warehouse will be positioned and the liters/tonnage required. Multi-storey warehouse static calculation is made in narrow spaces. Since modular warehouses are module by module, they can pass through narrow places such as door thresholds, stairs and elevators. Prismatic panels are fixed with internal tensioners. Generally, the ceiling and floor are joined with internal flanges and the side panels are joined with external flanges.
Matters to be Considered During Warehouse Installation
The ground where the tank will be placed must be able to withstand the weight of the water tank and the water in it and not be damaged under load. Gaps should be left as much as visible on the sides and top of the tank. These gaps are necessary for tightening the bolts during installation and also for periodic maintenance.
Modular Water Tank Sheet Thicknesses
Material thickness is selected by us as pressure standard. However, it is between 1 mm and 5 mm according to customer demand or Ministry of Environment and Urbanization pose conformity. Panels are printed in different molds according to thickness.
Modular Water Tank Panel Dimensions
The ceiling and floor of the modular water tanks are made of flat plate sheets and the side modules are made of sheets formed in presses. Our Ready Galvanized, Hot Dip Galvanized, 304 and 316 quality chrome steel tanks are in the form of 1.08 m x 1.08 m panels and 0.54 m x 1.08 m half module panels according to need.

What is Thermosplastic Coating in Modular Water Tanks?
Thermoplastic coating, which is a product that protects the metal surface from corrosion and oxidation without the need for galvanizing and primer, adheres very well to metals. It is a product that melts with heat and wraps the surface to be coated, changes form when it cools and increases its chemical and mechanical resistance.
How to Apply Thermosplastic Coating on Modular Water Tanks?
Thermoplastic coating is applied with a flame gun in a fabricated environment. However, in rare cases, on-site applications are made.
Advantages of Thermosplastic Coating in Modular Water Tanks
Chemical resistance (please consult SANTAŞ water tanks sales representative as it differs for each chemical density and concentration) It has the ability to be repaired.
Provides high flexibility and protection even at low temperatures.
Creates a surface resistant to impacts.
Provides the opportunity to apply and use in four seasons.
Provides the opportunity to apply without primer.
It is an ideal coating in welded areas.
It has superior peeling and cracking resistance.
Provides resistance to salt water environments and water tanks on the seaside.
In Which Modular Water Tanks Is Thermoplastic Coating Used?
Thermoplastic coating can be coated on all modular water tanks. However, coating on 304 and 316 quality chrome steel modular water tanks or GRP modular water tanks will only create cost. For this reason, it is generally preferred in ready galvanized and hot dip galvanized modular water tanks. Thermoplastic coated tanks also become suitable for drinking water. For this reason, our customers who do not have enough budget for complete coating inside and outside, only coat the inner surface of the tank, making it suitable for drinking water and protecting their tanks from corrosive effects.
What to Consider When Buying a Modules Water Tank?
In Stainless Steel Modular Water Tanks; except for special requests, AISI 304 Quality (CrNi 18/8) Stainless Steel sheet is used; The prices of low quality sheets such as 202 – 430 are low in direct proportion to their Nickel ratios and therefore the corrosion period is much shorter, In Hot Dip Galvanized Coating Modular Water Tanks; While there is an average coating thickness of 70 microns, there is a coating thickness of 7 microns in Ready Galvanized sheets; While using Hot Dip Galvanized Coating in modules, Ready Galvanized sheet should not be used in Floor and Ceiling Sheets, Bolts should be A2-70 in Stainless Steel warehouses and special alloy Galvanized coating in Hot Dip Galvanized warehouses, Second quality sheets have scratched surfaces and scratches on these sheets will cause corrosion, Swelling and deformation in the modules of warehouses made using low sheet thicknesses; There is a risk of explosion in warehouses over time, In warehouses with a height of more than 108 cm, manholes and cleaning hatches and ladders should be in your warehouse, The breathing apparatus we use on the ceiling sheets help to reduce the humidity in the warehouse, To ensure the insulation between the base sheet and the platform on the platforms where the warehouses are installed, that we use special insulation material, that we can protect the product from corrosive effects (corrosion, decay) for many years by coating the double side with thermoplastic in our modular water tanks and make it suitable for drinking water, that the most important issue to be considered in the selection of modular water tanks is the thickness of the ceiling, floor and side modules of the sheets. There are very serious cost differences between a 20-ton modular prismatic water tank with a thickness of 1.5 mm and a thickness of 1.2 mm. Another important issue is the height of the tank. As the height of the tank increases, the number of panels and the thickness of the modules must increase. For example, the price of a 2-storey (1.08 m x 2.16 m x 2.16 m x 2.16 m h) 5-ton modular water tank is more expensive than the price of a single-storey (2.16 m x 2.16 m x 2.16 m x 1.08 m h) modular water tank. Did you know that you should consider these when buying a modular water tank price and offer?
