In order to increase the mechanical strength of geomembrane synthetic covers, reinforcements made of raw materials such as polyester, fiberglass, etc. are used. There is no superficial adhesion feature in synthetic covers. The product is applied by welding the joints. The product is made monolithic with the welds. However, as in some roof applications, PVC covers are mechanically fixed. In such cases, the security of the fixing point of the product and its resistance to tearing gain importance. Reinforced PVC geomembranes have a long history of use, with reinforced PVC geomembranes applied about thirty years ago still protecting roofs without any problems. In addition, they are used in agricultural irrigation ponds and ponds due to their UV cracking resistance and high tensile strength due to the carbon reinforcement fibers between them compared to homogeneous signal layer PVC membranes.
Advantages of Reinforced PVC Membrane
High quality Flexible and easily adapts to the contours of the ground to which it will be applied Difficult to catch fire Long service life High mechanical strength (tear resistance and impact resistance) Allows perfect joint welding with hot air Allows air testing with double welding in application High resistance to atmospheric and climatic conditions Resistant to plant roots Offers color variety and double color options Offers ease of application Ecological material that does not contain heavy metals and can be recycled
