In our country where high-rise buildings are increasing, elevators are one of the indispensable units. Elevator is a frequently used means of transportation in high-rise buildings. It is very important that the elevator shaft in the base of the building is well insulated as well as the regular mechanical maintenance of the elevators to be safe to use. The elevator shaft is an important area of the building projects that needs the most sensitive waterproofing. Since the elevator is also under the raft foundations of a building, it means that groundwater floods can occur. For this reason, while the building is being constructed, the waterproofing of the elevator shafts should be done by an expert as well as the foundation isolation.
