What is a Fiber Water Tank?

While the inside of our fiber storages with winding pipe method and spray up production technology are produced with resins that have food compliance certificates, the outer surface is produced with glass fiber additives with the help of UV resistant resins resistant to the harmful rays of the sun. Depending on the material to be stored in the polyester warehouse, the resins used such as isophthalic polyester, vinylester, darekene vary. Our fiber tanks are produced as aboveground, underground, as brine tanks, as domestic water and drinking water, as chemical tanks, as settling pools, as oxidation tanks and purification tanks in accordance with your needs and purposes of use.

How is a Fiber Water Tank Produced?

Production in fiber water tanks can be done with two (2) methods. Manual method in the form of hand lay-up
Automatic method with infinite straight angle machine (Filament Wound)
Production Stages in Fiber Water Tanks
According to the place of use (underground or above ground), according to the product to be placed inside (water or chemical substance), the appropriate thickness and how many layers of fiber resin are determined.

Usually the stages are as follows;

Isophilatic gelcoat is applied on the existing mold.
Fiber resin is applied on it.
A layered structure is created to increase the strength.
Reinforcing circle radii are wrapped to increase the strength in the body.
A breakwater structure is positioned inside the body if necessary or according to customer demand.
Entrance, exit and air manholes are opened at desired locations on the tank. Tank exits are opened as standard, but special customer requests are also evaluated.
A ladder is placed according to the tank size or depending on customer demand.
For horizontal tanks, GRP feet are mounted on the body as much as necessary in accordance with the relevant tonnage in order to stand in balance.
For conical fiber chemical production tanks, the platform and the necessary ladder are prepared.
Crane rope attachment places are opened when necessary for the convenience during shipment, unloading and placing in place.
Finally, the inner and outer surfaces of the tank are painted in standard colors or special color ral codes according to customer demand.
