TPO membrane is a thermoplastic polyolefin-based mixture and is a new technological product that is resistant to atmospheric conditions, sunlight (UV), plant roots and offers a long service life thanks to its high tear, puncture and abrasion resistance.
It is a UV resistant, vapor permeable, reinforced TPO Waterproofing Membrane that can be combined with hot air welding, has plant root resistance and is used in roof waterproofing applications.
TPO membranes are designed to provide waterproofing on all roofs exposed to harsh weather conditions and sun rays.
TPO Membrane Usage Areas
– Light metal roofs,
– Garden / parking lot / terrace roofs,
– Heat insulated and non-heat insulated roofs,
– Dome or different geometric shaped concrete or steel roofs,
– Waterproofing of metal gutters.
TPO Membrane Advantages
– The biggest reason why TPO membranes are preferred is that they have longer durability, it is known that they show resistance up to 20-30 years in aging tests. – TPO membranes can be easily combined with heat welding when the right product is made. – TPO membranes have an important share in the USA market and are becoming more and more widespread in Europe and in our country and are increasing their share in the market. – TPO membranes are a laminated layer resistant to all kinds of atmospheric conditions, solar radiation and plant roots, – TPO membranes can be used by free laying on concrete and especially light metal roofs with mechanical fixing, – TPO membranes are fast and economical application with roll sizes that can be produced in a wide range, high dimensional stability and high tear resistance thanks to reinforcement material, – TPO membranes reduce energy consumption of structures thanks to their high reflectivity, – TPO membranes are environmentally friendly materials that can be recycled.
TPO Membrane (FPO) Types
– Standard Homogeneous TPO (FPO) Membrane – Polyester Reinforced + UV TPO (FPO) Membrane – Fiberglass + Polyester Reinforced UV TPO (FPO) Membrane
– Extra Reflective Surface TPO (FPO) Membrane
– Felt Laminated TPO (FPO) Membrane
– Polypropylene Based TPO / FPO Membrane (Special production)
German origin TPO in accordance with project and technical specifications, We work with American origin TPO and Italian origin TPO geomembranes.
TPO Membrane Synthetic Cover Application Methods
– Mechanical Fixing Method – Free Laying (Ballasted) Method – Linear Bonding Method When deciding which method to use, criteria such as the slope of the roof, the wind load it will be exposed to, architectural design, whether there will be a green terrace roof application and whether an old roof is being renovated are taken into consideration.
Regardless of the application methods mentioned above, joints and joints are always joined and sealed by hot air welding method. The joining process with hot air welding provides both absolute sealing and creates a continuous and homogeneous structure. As a result of the joining process with hot air welding, it forms a more durable layer than the synthetic cover.
In traditional gluing or torch methods, the joints constitute the weak points of the layer. In joining processes performed with high-tech hot air welding robots, the joints are strong points and no separation, lifting or peeling occurs over time.
