Plastic Pedestals Used in Modular Water Tanks
Plastic pedestals are important structures that make modular water tanks more stable and durable on the ground. Unlike concrete or steel bases, plastic bases are lightweight, practical and have many advantages.
Properties of Plastic Pedestals
- Material: Plastic pedestals are usually made from durable plastics such as polypropylene or polyethylene. These materials are resistant to corrosion, chemicals and impacts.
- Dimensions: Each panel size of modular water tanks is 1.08 meters. Under each modular water tank panel, 4 plastic bases, 54 cm wide and 54 cm long, are placed. Plastic bases are a modular system that is added by interlocking.
- Weight: Plastic bases are much lighter than concrete or steel bases. This makes them easy to transport, ship and install.
Advantages of Using Plastic Pedestal
- Load Distribution: The plastic base ensures that the total weight of the modular water tank is evenly distributed on the floor. This reduces the load on the floor and prevents collapse or damage to the floor.
- Ventilation: The pedestal provides air circulation through the space at the bottom of the tank. It prevents moisture accumulation and thus prevents corrosion and prolongs the life of the tank.
- Hygiene: The pedestal raises the bottom of the tank above the floor, making it easier to clean. This prevents the formation of bacteria and algae.
- Drainage Provides drainage of overflowing water coming under the tank.
- Ease of Installation: Plastic pedestals have a modular system. In this way, installation is easy and fast.
- Economical: Plastic bases are more economical than concrete or steel bases.
Modular Water Tank and Plastic Pedestal Layout
- The area where the pedestal and storage will be installed should be planned in such a way that at least 50-60 cm space is left from the side walls of the installation.
- When taking measurements and pouring the base, the details such as columns, doors, etc. will be taken into consideration and poured after leaving the necessary gaps.
- A minimum gap of 50-60 cm should be left between the warehouse to be installed and the ceiling, while taking this measurement, details such as beams, pipes, ventilation, etc. on the ceiling should be taken into account.
- In case of side-by-side warehouses, a minimum space of 60 cm shall be left between the bases of each warehouse to be installed.
