In 2020, Santaş developed durable septic tanks that can be buried directly in underground use with molds suitable for special kilograms and septic tanks.
Our septic polyethylene tanks are 3 and 5 tons horizontal type as standard.
Our glass fiber reinforced polyester, i.e. fiber warehouses, can be specially produced in tonnages specific to your needs.
Septic storage tanks are an environmentally friendly storage method that does not emit odors and does not release sewage for many years without requiring maintenance and thanks to its impermeability.
These tanks, which are purchased for the storage of sewage wastes, rainwater collection or the ability to be buried in the ground in accommodation areas without sewage system such as summer houses, plateaus, camping areas, can be used as domestic water tanks or diesel tanks.
Our septic tanks can be used for storing liquid wastes in industrial facilities such as industrial factories. By being included in the wastewater treatment system by municipalities and water administrations and used for purposes such as separation of harmful chemical substance contents and precipitation of heavy metals, unwanted wastes in its content settle to the bottom and oil etc. It is easier for substances and chemicals to decompose by remaining above.
Septic Tank Usage
Some or all of the septic tanks produced using fiber polyester or LLDPE / HDPE polyethylene raw materials are buried under the ground. Filling and discharging operations are provided with the help of the chimney on it or by means of additional inlet and outlet openings. In cases where the use of chimney is not desired, a cover can be preferred. The chimney can also be used for ventilation purposes. Our polyethylene 3 tons horizontal septic tank can be used either with a lid without chimney or with 1 optional chimney. Our 5 tons horizontal septic tank can be used either with a cover without a chimney or with a single chimney or double chimney.
How is Polyethylene Septic Tank Burial Application Done?
Before being placed underground, the ground is prepared so that the tank can be placed firmly and flat.
- The pit where the tank will be buried should be dug to the required dimensions according to the appropriate tonnage.
- 25 cm thick ferrous concrete should be laid on the floor of the warehouse.
- The sides of the pit should be walled with bricks, pumice or briquette up to the top level of the tank to prevent external pressure of the soil. A gap of at least 10 cm should be left between the wall and the storage surface.
- The tank should be lowered into the pit where it will be buried with the help of a crane, and care should be taken not to rub the sides of the pit against the sides of the tank and not to press on it with the crane.
- If no wall is to be built, in order to prevent soil pressure, there should be a gap of at least 10 – 15 cm between the surface of the pit and the surface of the tank, and after the tank is filled, filling with fine sand or perlite should be made between the tank and the soil so that the throat and lid of the tank remain above the soil level.
- Where polyethylene underground storages are installed, care should be taken to ensure that people and vehicles do not pass over the storages.
Our septic tanks, which provide practical solutions and do not require maintenance, are also used in rural areas where there is no sewage system. With the help of the pipe entering the tank from the sinks, gray water and black water from the kitchen, toilet, bathroom and washing machine & dishwasher are collected in the septic tank. A float system can be installed in the entrance area to control the fullness of the tank. In places where there is no such sewer line, the vehicle of the water administration of the relevant municipality can be called and the tank can be emptied with the help of a vacuum truck from the upper chimney or hatch.
The collection of household waste in a polyethylene or fiberglass septic tank is also an important opportunity for the recovery of organic fertilizer from settled waste. For more professional solutions, such as the recovery of septic tank contents as domestic water or plant irrigation water, a treatment system can be integrated into the tank outlet. In case of integration into the sewage system, a booster can be positioned at the outlet of the tank and the tank can be emptied with pressure.
In order to use septic tanks for a long time and without any problems, it is important to remember that solid contents such as diapers, wet wipes and paper towels that cause blockage in the transmission of pipes should not be thrown away. There are also natural cleaning methods for septic tanks.
Septic Tank Cleaning
Since septic tanks can be used for long periods of time, they are usually forgotten and not cleaned. However, an organic cleaning can be achieved by sending a mixture of lemon, baking soda and vinegar with the liquid content sent to prevent bad odor over time. Bleach and chlorine can also be used.
Septic Tank Dimensions
