MERSİN – Santaş İzolasyon Sistemleri, which has been operating on water and heat insulation in Mersin since 2000 and has been focusing on agricultural irrigation systems for 4 years, has increased its workmanship quality with the robot investment it made this year. Santaş İzolasyon Sistemleri Owner Nurettin Madenlioğlu, who stated that their company, which started to realize the application and sales of this product by taking the dealership of Firestone in 2008 and Lineflex rubber membrane irrigation pools in 2009, works on pond and dam style projects, said, “We are mainly focused on public works. Last year, we built fire pools for Adana, Iskenderun and Mersin Forest Management Directorate. This year, we will again participate in the tenders of Adana Special Administration.” Pointing out that EPDM Membrane has been used abroad for 36 years, Madenlioğlu said, “It has just started to be recognized in Turkey. It is preferred because the quality of the product is seen in the tests. The product has a lifespan of 75 years. There is a 25-year company guarantee.” Madenlioğlu said, “In 2009, the 70-acre Şevketiye Pond in Bursa was covered with Lineflex rubber membrane by DSİ. It functions smoothly. Currently, a new 2 million cubic meter pond is being built by DSİ in Altınhisar, Niğde. Lineflex rubber membrane was preferred in this pond. Similarly, there is the Bardat Pond in Mersin’s Gülnar district, which does not hold water. An area of approximately 350 thousand square meters is expected to be covered. We have given our samples to the Adana Regional Directorate and we are waiting for the result. Since we have worked with DSİ before and introduced our quality, I think we have a good chance here as well.” Explaining that they have been working on membrane for the 4th year, Nurettin Madenlioğlu said, “During this period, we invested in 2 robots used in membrane bonding. We now use robots when joining the membrane. Thus, welding can be done at high degrees and labor errors are prevented by completely sticking the product together. With the increase in our business volume, 2 robots were not enough. We are planning to buy 5 more robots by the end of the year.” Emphasizing that their business volume increased by about 300 percent compared to this period last year, Madenlioğlu said, “We do not work with stocks. Since the factory is located in Turkey, we can supply the product whenever we want. We work with Northern Cyprus, Hatay, Adana, Ereğli, Niğde, Kahramanmaraş, Mersin and accidents. This year we will accelerate dealership activities. We are planning to give dealerships abroad in the coming period,” he said.
