Madenlioğlu explained that they decided not to limit their work to the construction of irrigation ponds after the deficit they saw in the market and decided to expand their product range. Nurettin Madenlioğlu noted that last year they took the dealership of Firestone’s rubber membrane irrigation pools and started to realize the application and sales of this product, and stated that they also insulate forest fire pools and concrete irrigation pools. Madenlioğlu also mentioned that they sell polyethylene water tanks from 100 liters to 25 tons and said that they plan to start selling vegetable seedlings until the end of this month. Pointing out that they will not limit their activities to this, but will develop their activities especially for the pool, Nurettin Madenlioğlu explained that they plan to start selling canopy that prevents the evaporation of pool water until the end of this month. Nurettin Madenlioğlu explained that the rubber membrane coating, which they serve for irrigation pools, is not yet sufficiently recognized, and those who know it think that it is a high-cost investment, so the rate of preference is decreasing: “The whole world is under the threat of global warming. After today, it is no longer possible to reach rich water resources. For this reason, preventing the existing water from being wasted and storing it is vital in agricultural irrigation. This situation should not be ignored and farmers should be supported for an investment in this direction. There is no drip without a pool. Priority should be given to the establishment of a pool. As in drip irrigation investment, irrigation pool investment should be supported with a 50 percent grant.” Nurettin Madenlioğlu mentioned that farmers had difficulty in making investments this year due to the financial problems they experienced last year, and explained that Ziraat Bank and Agricultural Credit Cooperatives loans came into play at this point, but they were not enough. Noting that he did not find it right to ask for a certificate of income while granting bank loans, Madenlioğlu said, “It is impossible for a farmer who will plant for the first time to show a certificate of income. In order for the sector to revive more, some flexibility should be recognized while making these loans.” Likewise, Madenlioğlu emphasized that the standard of the product to be loaned should also be looked at while granting loans, “Today, loans are given to those who make irrigation pools even from truck tarpaulin. Such loans put both the user and the lending bank in trouble. For this reason, attention should be paid to the quality of the loaned product and a product standard should be introduced.” Stating that the user should be aware of the construction of irrigation pools and prefer quality products, Nurettin Madenlioğlu explained that the material used should be suitable for climatic conditions and should be flexible. Stating that the products they serve are 300 percent elastic, the product stretches by loosening when the weather is hot, and protects itself by shrinking when it is cold, Madenlioğlu said, “At the same time, we do not work with electricity. We combine the parts with the cold bonding method. This extends the life of the product.”
Nurettin Madenlioğlu emphasized that they work with a single piece in small pools and combine the parts with cold bonding method in large pools, thus, since there is no heating and boiling in the membrane they serve, there is no thinning and deformation at the joints, and they have an advantage over PVC and Polyethylene pool membranes. Nurettin Madenlioğlu also explained that a test was carried out in Germany on the product they applied and that it was determined that the product lasted 75 years in this test. Explaining that the first pool in Spain was built in 1973, Madenlioğlu stated that the manufacturer Firestone gives a certified 20-year warranty.
